Marketing 'Trump' Card: Can't beat them? Bully them!

What would happen if marketers took brand communication tips from America's presidential candidates?

If brand marketers took communication tips from the ongoing presidential campaigns in the USA, the likes of ASCI, world over, would go into overdrive mode. Potshot advertising has been taken to a new level by Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. We all know who started it, of course.

In her latest campaign, Clinton calls Trump a bully by likening him to Thomas F. Wilson's Biff Tannen.

Tannen is a cruel - and somewhat crazy - fictional character in the movie (series) Back to the Future, played by actor Thomas F. Wilson. She also likens him to other 'movie bullies', but there's just something about the physical similarity between Tannen and Trump, isn't there?

Clinton's message to her nation is: Stand up to bullies. Don't let Trump bully his way into the White House.

Her recent tweet on the subject is trending too. It reads: 'There are a lot of bullies in this world. The last thing we need is one in the White House.'

Few days back, Clinton's anti-Trump campaign was all about showing America how Trump coming to power could, among other things, be disastrous for the self esteem of the women of the country.
