Ethics be damned: bribe your child

Ore-Ida’s new launch Potato Pay makes the task of making children eat proper meals less difficult.

This is no brown envelope stuff. It is straight over the table. On National French Fry Day, three days ago, Ore-Ida, the frozen-food brand, launched “Potato Pay,” which takes the idea of bribery and rebrands it with a more morally acceptable name.

It addresses a perennial problem that parents face especially when it comes to picky young eaters. Could you bribe your child to eat his or her greens and meal by bribing? Easy, says Potato Pay, while making parents feel that they still following parental rules.

Ore-Ida and Droga5 Potato Pay campaign makes parents feel less guilty while bribing their children to eat - one fry at a time.
