Judy Jarvis, British Airways’ regional commercial manager, South Asia said, "It is 60 years since India became a republic, 80 years since British Airways has been flying to India and 90 years since we started operations as an airline. And since Republic Day is an important national celebration, significant across all of India, we want to mark the occasion with this one-off special deal. We hope that it encourages our customers here in India to remember the ties that bind our two nations and to present a perfect excuse to visit the UK."
The special Republic Day rates are for flight only prices and are inclusive of all taxes and charges. The base price of each seat from Delhi and Mumbai is INR 8,500 and 9,000 respectively. The remaining amount is made up of taxes and surcharges.
The offer is available across economy cabin classes for flights departing Mumbai and Delhi to London Heathrow and valid for bookings made between January 26 to 28, 2010. Outbound travel has to be between May 01 and June 30 2010.
