Air passengers departing from Mumbai domestic airport during August 1st – 30th, 2010 now have a reason to keep themselves engaged, entertained and explore an opportunity to win 5 stylish ASUS EeePC (netbooks) and lots of other great prizes while they await their boarding calls. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the foremost non-profit trade promotion organization to promote Taiwan's foreign trade has taken the initiative to host an online contest "Me & Taiwan Excellence" at Terminal 1B of Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic airport.
The "Me & Taiwan Excellence" contest is part of an Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) campaign from TAITRA, which is an initiative to further boost the international brand image and status of Taiwan and its leading ICT industry across the globe. The campaign is spearheaded by TAITRA for promoting Taiwan Excellence in targeted overseas markets, utilizing B2C and effective B2B sales channels and is supervised by Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA, Taiwan, R.O.C.
Incidentally Taiwan is one of the finest manufacturers of ICT products in the world with acknowledged brand names like Acer, Asus, D-Link, BenQ, Transcend, HTC etc. Several technology companies across the globe source their ICT components from manufacturers based in Taiwan.
Participating in the contest is easy; passengers have to visit the beautifully designed TAITRA gaming zone and get started with the available 6 laptops of 3 different models sponsored by a multinational computer product manufacturer, ASUS, and visit the Taiwan Excellence microsite specially developed for this contest. Once connected with the microsite, three simple steps have to be followed:
* Register on the microsite and fill out all the requested information
* Upload your picture & Taiwan Excellence logo and click submit to create your personal page
* Participants could further share their personal page with their friends & relatives to win prizes. Sharing with more than 3 friends will help them to qualify to win the grand prize
The contest will be on for the entire month of August and the winner will be decided through a lucky draw to be announced in the first week of September. The competition aims to not only engage and entertain passengers while in transit but also provide opportunity to connect with their friends and families. For citizens not travelling from Mumbai airport can also participate in the Me & Taiwan Excellence game by simply visiting the microsite from any part of the country and share their comments and pictures with friends & relatives.
