Tara Jewels scores hat-trick with SEEPZ SEZ awards

Tara Jewels Limited, one of India's leading groups of gold and diamond jewelry in manufacturing, design and distribution, has won the SEEPZ SEZ award for Highest Export Performance in Gems and Jewellery sector for the year 2009-10. This is the third time in a row that Tara Jewels have been honored with this award after 2008-09 and 2007-2008. Tara Jewels have also received the Highest Net Foreign Exchange Earner for 2009-10 competing with the 189 units in the Gems & Jewellery Sector of SEEPZ SEZ.

Mr. S. Dutt Majumder, Chairman Central Board of Excise and Customs, Department of revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has presented the award to Tara Jewels at a ceremony which was also attended by heavy weights like Shobha L Chari, Chief Commissioner of Customs-Mumbai I, Vineet Kumar, Chief Commissioner of Customs-Mumbai II, Anita Agnihotri, Development Commissioner of SEEPZ SEZ and Reshma Lakhani, Jt. Development Commissioner of SEEPZ SEZ, amongst others.

On the acheivement, Mr. Rajeev Sheth, Chairman and MD - Tara Jewels Ltd, said: "We are happy that Tara Jewels' export team's efforts have been recognized through these awards.
