Lifestyle disorders such as gastroenteritis, acidity, obesity and high blood pressure are some of the few key problems faced by the youth and they need to tackle this problem early in order to be successful in a competitive world of business management.
These were the key issues highlighted during an interactive seminar organized by JIVA Ayurveda, the pioneers of Ayurvedic medicine, and BIG 92.7 FM at IIPM (Indian Institute of Planning and Management), Chattarpur on the occasion of World Health Day.
"Ayurveda for Managers", was designed to train the students as well as helping prospective managers understand work-life balance and the need for a healthy lifestyle in order to build a sustainable career.
"Today's job profession is highly demanding with working for long hours, leaving little time to cook. This automatically pushes them to the easiest choice of ready-to-eat junk foods," said Dr Partap Chauhan, Director, JIVA Ayurveda.
"The food habits and unhealthy lifestyle are the main contributors of lifestyle diseases. So there is no wonder why these foods are serious health hazards over a period of time. Lifestyle fitness with simple ayurvedic tips will help them maintain good health.
The session addressed by Dr.Pratap Chauhan highlighted some of the key issues on the growing stress and lifestyle disorders such as high cholesterol among other problems faced by the youth today.
There is a saying that, "we are what we eat" guiding the students to have a healthy lifestyle to Dr.Partap Chauhan narrated many inspiring and touching instances from daily routine as well as the current trends dominating the science and practice of Ayurveda and its relevance in the modern scenario.
Delhi's famous radio jockey 'RJ Rahul' interviewed Director of JIVA Ayurveda, Dr.Partap Chauhan, few students from the management school to get their views on the popular "Hostel Classics show".
Engaging the students further RJ Rahul from 92.7 BIG Fm hosted series of quiz competition followed by Mr & Miss Fit Contest. Each winning participant was awarded a gift hamper sponsored by JIVA Ayurveda and 92.7 Big FM. Speaking at the event RJ Rahul said " With gurus like Dr.Chauhan championing the benefits of Ayurveda amongst all of us will definitely help us reach a large chunk of students, who are motivated towards fitness. Such interactive sessions enhance knowledge at the same time increase learning opportunities for all"
