GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) today declared its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2011. For the first quarter, net sales at Rs. 710 crs recorded an impressive growth of 9% over 2010, with PBT growing by 14% to Rs. 168 crs and PAT growing by 15% to Rs. 111 crs for the same period.

The quarter saw increased visibility across product portfolios supported by strong marketing initiatives. Both Horlicks and Boost powered ahead. Expanding the company's growing product portfolio, a new product viz. Boost Glucose was launched in the quarter (launched as Glaxose-D in the Eastern states).
