To further expand its channel reach in India, WatchGuard Technologies, Inc., a global leader of business security solutions, in association with its Mumbai-based National Distributor RoundRobin Tech Services Pvt. Ltd, organized a Channel Partner Meet on 20th May 2011 at Hotel Sahara Star in Mumbai. In addition to its existing channel partners, more than 30 new partners from important west Indian markets like Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad, participated in the event. The Mumbai channel partner meet will be followed by another partner meet in Chennai on 27th May, 2011.

The event witnessed WatchGuard's award-winning range of XTM/XCS security solutions and the latest enhancements that included Reputation Enabled Defense, a cloud based security service, Fireware XTM 11.4.1 featuring many new and innovative functionalities including the Application Control. During the event WatchGuard also unveiled its most powerful security appliance XTM 2050 next generation firewall (NGFW) with 20 Gbps throughout that provides enterprise-class security for large enterprises and data centers that require high-performance firewall. The presentation also covered the USPs of the products, the roadmap and the go to market strategy to engage more and more potential partners across the country and to help them leveraging the latest technological developments at WatchGuard. Last year, WatchGuard India witnessed tremendous growth and this year the company is also expecting the same trend to continue.

"The strategy behind organizing such an event is to further expand our channel network in India. In addition to adding around 30 partners, the program was intended to assist WatchGuard's partners for sustained success amidst the changing realities of today's IT business environment by supporting their technical support and sales efforts," informed Mohit Puri, Country Manager, India & SAARC, WatchGuard.
