Pioneer TS- W1208D2 1,400 W (400 W) 30 cm(12") component subwoofer of Champion Series with Three-Layer Interwoven Radial Surround is constructed of three layers — two of cloth and one of interwoven foamed urethane for improved power handling, reduced distortion, improved durability, and louder but more controlled bass.

The subwoofers have interlaced Aramid/Basalt Fibre-Reinforced IMPP composite cone which is extremely rigid yet lightweight designed in order to prevent cone failure at high sound pressure levels. The fibres are interlaced to form an exceptionally flexible fibre weave, which provides the strength and rigidity for low distortion, clean and outstanding powerful bass.

The unique feature of the Dual Voice Coil Design allows easy installation, as all speaker terminals have been placed on one side of the subwoofer rather than on both sides.
