The Advertising Club Bangalore All set to host its annual 5-A-Side Football

The Advertising Club Bangalore, a popular professional body that represents the Advertising, Media & marketing fraternity, today announced that it is all set to host its very popular annual sports event 5-A-Side Football tournament.

The tournament, which is into its 20th year, is being jointly presented by the leading national media group Dainik Bhaskar, which has instituted a rolling trophy for the winners and is also giving away a special trophy for the “Player of the tournament”. Commenting on their association with this tournament, Sr General Manager-south and Business Head - International of Dainik Bhaskar Mr Raja Mitra said “We are proud to be associated with this prestigious event which brings together members of the advertising & marketing community in Bangalore.Such events not only help in improving inter-company relations , it also helps in bringing out a competitive spirit, albeit on the football field”.

Projected as the most sought after tournament by the Advertising and marketing fraternity, the 5-A-side Football is being organized for year in a row at the Power Play Sports Pavillion on ITPL main Road in Bangalore and will be played under flood lights, on 30th September and 1st October. The Finals will be on 2nd October. Exchange4Media Group is the media partner for the event. Saatchi Focus, Bangalore created a 3 ad campaign specially for the tournament.

19 teams from various advertising agencies and media houses will vie for the Rolling trophy and other prizes. Speaking about the tournament, the president of the Ad club Mr Prateek Srivastava said “This is the 20th year of this five a side competition and we are happy to receive entries from 19 teams, a record for the Advertising Club, Bangalore. I urge all the teams to participate with enthusiasm and fair-play, and we hope that this is a tournament that is looked forward to, by the fraternity in general”.
