Celebrate this 62nd Independence Day with Special programmes on TIMES NOW this weekend. The slew of special programming comprises of Midnight’s Children, Total Recall-India @ 62, The Foodie at National Defence Academy, Pune, Heroes of Freedom and Frankly Speaking.

Midnight’s Children - Saturday 2.30pm and 9.30pm, Sunday 9.30am and 4.30pm

A half an hour special Independence Day show which will follow the lives of five people who share their date of birth with that of Independent India. The nation’s history, spanning 62 years as seen by these five voices. A parallel track of their personal journey and distinct memories with that of an evolving Independent India.

Total Recall: India @ 62 - Saturday- 12noon and 8pm, Sunday- 1pm, 5pm & 10pm

Independence Day Special looks back at the incidents that have shaped the country’s existence and how it has served as an inspiration for films, television, advertising and radio .The nation in its 62 years of existence has lived through several incidents that have shaped its conscience. From the struggle for independence, to the trauma of partition from economic liberalisation, to terrorist attacks. from Kargil War, to the fight for free Kashmir .India and the stories of its growing up years have been chronicled.

The Foodie at National Defence Academy, Pune - Saturday 1.30pm and 5.30pm, Sunday 11.30am and 7.30pm

Heroes of Freedom - Saturday 11am and 6pm, Sunday 3pm and 8pm

A one hour unique discussion with the true heroes of India. TIMES NOW brings together Indian soldiers from the three Armed Forces to share and relive their memories of battle. The soldiers of India having endured some of the toughest wars the world has seen from World War II to Kargil bond over their trials and real life experiences of war.

Frankly Speaking - Saturday 3.30pm, Sunday 12.30pm

In this special episode of Frankly Speaking, Arnab speaks to Marshal of the Air Force Sardar Arjan Singh. He is the only living Indian military officer with a five-star rank. Arnab dwells into Marshall Arjan Singh’s illustrious career spanning across moments which have shaped history. The otherwise media-shy Marshal, opens up to Arnab about his sacrifices and the many ups and downs he has faced as the longest serving Air Chief Marshal.
