Celebrate the 62nd Independence Day, only the BIG 92.7 FM way

As we cross the 62nd milestone of our Independence, BIG 92.7 FM, across stations has queued up phenomenal offerings in line with the local vibe of the cities. Starting from 'Angrez Ki Aulad' campaign, to freeing caged birds, to felicitating the Jawans all BIG FM Stations will ensure that every listener not only celebrate this day with passion, but also introspect what ‘freedom’ really means for each one of us.

BIG FM in Mumbai and Delhi have kicked-off the 'Angrez Ki Aulad' campaign starting from 10 August, in which the RJs, in a fun way, check out the ‘Angrezi’ quotient of the local populace. With a strong on-air and on-ground packaging, BIG FM’s RJs will do ‘Outdoor Broadcasting’ from various location and request people to translate hindi songs/movie dialogues into English or vice versa. ‘Angrez Ki Aulad’ will explore the fun side of the English language and tickle the funny bone of the listeners with some interesting takes.

BIG 92.7 FM in Kolkata has a different take on Independence Day this year. The station has launched a campaign – 'Sadhinatar Kathay, Sadhinatar Gaane' in which BIG FM will provide moments of solace and freedom with music which listeners prefer. This campaign is aimed at providing a day full of freedom, in a musical way.

BIG 92.7 FM Chennai, which is highly regarded for its mood based music, will host a special show with famous singer - Chinmayee. Also, the music of the station will be customized with some foot-tapping patriotic numbers and motivate people to celebrate this day passionately. Singer Chinmayee, who has transcended boundaries by creating record breaking hits in multiple languages with her unique voice, will celebrate the spirit of India by singing songs in all languages.

In Chandigarh, BIG 92.7 FM along with NGO Tamanna will visit Panjab University campus and will pin national flag’s badges on the students. Along with this, tricolor helium balloons will be released with the students to mark the occasion. The jocks along with the NGO members will sport Khadi clothes to mark the occasion.

BIG FM Kanpur will celebrate this Independence Day with its listeners at a local mall, wherein BIG RJs will host the finale of the 'Sabse Aagey Hindustaani' contest. The contest, whose preliminary round was played on-air, will test participants on their patriotic quotient. At Allahabad, in order to provide freedom women from eve-teasing and sexual harassments, BIG FM will organize a special 'workshop' for females.

BIG FM Guwahati is all set to make its laugh and have some fun, this Independence Day. Ranchi Station will air an exclusive interview of the governor of the state – Shri Kateekal Sankaranarayana on 15 August. The station will also have the ‘Angrez Ki Aulad’ campaign as its Independence Day Offering.

RJs of BIG FM Aligarh, will organize a special street – play – Meri Azaadi which will showcase what ‘freedom’ as a concept means for the youth and how different it was when India won its Independence. Where as BIG FM Bareily, in a very innovative campaign, request listeners to free their caged / domesticated birds and give them a free life. RJs of Jodhpur station, will be celebrating the Independence Day at a local Blind School along with NCC Cadets.
