BIG Synergy's "Sports Ka Superstar– Khel Quiz" airs on Doordarshan National

Its Quiz Time once again on Doordarshan National, as the award winning Production House, Big Synergy, a division of Reliance MediaWorks and a member of the Reliance ADA group, returns to its roots with a brand new, action-packed sports quiz, "Sports Ka Superstar – Khel Quiz" which will be aired on DD National from June 21, 2010 as a bi-weekly show.

The format, created by Big Synergy is innovative, compelling and dramatic with high end technology woven into the games and gripping competition at every step. Thousands of quiz enthusiasts attempted the written tests across 7 centres in the country and only 200 made it to the television rounds of the quiz. After 20 Prelims, 4 Semi Finals and 1 Final, only one will emerge as the winner of Sports ka Superstar. The 200 quizzers will take the roles of Khiladis and display their knowledge of sports on this thrilling mind game, tackling questions on cricket to croquet, bowling to badminton and visual questions on sports celebrities and events, challenging their fellow competitors to a fight to the finish.

The show is hosted by the versatile and well known TV anchor, Mini Mathur (Indian Idol, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachaao) and will be the precursor to the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi from October 3-14, 2010.

The players are all sports buffs and the idea of the show has grown around finding the best of the best on any given subject, since all challengers can attempt all the questions through an answer pad. Our in house team developed and tested the format in stages, and we were fortunate to rope in Mini Mathur, who makes a fluent and charming host, conducting the quiz in an exciting, entertaining and intelligent way."
