This weekend on ET Now watch Dr. Raghuram Rajan, the 'man who predicted the financial crisis in 2005' in a free wheeling conversation with Tanvir Gill. He was among the first to raise concerns about the risky financial innovations that had revolutionized the global economic system. Before a crowd gathered to celebrate the tenure of retiring Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, he predicted that the new methods could wreak havoc on the world economy. His warnings were dismissed at the time, but proved relevant when the Great Recession hit in 2007.

Born in Bhopal, India, Raghuram Rajan was the youngest person to be appointed as the International Monetary Fund's chief economist. He is also the inaugural recipient of the Fischer Black Prize.

In the first episode of a new series 'India Unlimited', former IMF chief economist Dr Raghuram Rajan talks to ET Now's Tanvir Gill about how he ended up in economics after going to IIT, IIM and MIT; 'Sharp practices' in the banking industry that he witnessed as a young professional and why he fears a repeat of the credit crisis.

'India Unlimited' will profile prominent figures of Indian origin in the Business and financial community residing in the U.S every week and will give the viewers an insight into their journey to success, and what has made these successful Indians role models for thousands both the U.S. and back home in India
