The splendid cricket feast will be served to us in less than a week's time. With just a few days to go to the start of cricket's flagship event - the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, CNN-IBN introduces 'Kings of Cricket' with some of the best cricketing experts of the world who will come together for the first time to do a pre and post match analysis. Catch an in-depth analysis by 'Kings of Cricket' Sir Vivian Richards, Imran Khan, Allan Border, Chris Cairns, Anil Kumble, Zaheer Abbas, Murli Kartik, Kirti Azad & Harsha Bhogle only on CNN-IBN as per the details below:
Kings of Cricket - Pre World Cup (15th - 18th Feb):
• 15th - 17th Feb: 7:00 PM & 10:00 PM
• 18th Feb: 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Speaking on the show Imran Khan, captain of Pakistan's world cup winning team of 1992 said "I think One-Day cricket requirements are different from that of Test Cricket. Australia doesn't have match winning bowlers for Test Cricket as they have already lost their good bowlers like McGrath, Shane Warne and Gillis. According to me, India and Sri Lanka have good chances in World Cup. The decision for keeping Zaheer Khan out of warm-up matches is good and sensible because being an experienced fast bowler he needs a rest before the tournament".
Allan Border, captain of Australia's world cup winning team of 1987 added, "Though Australia lost against India and England in Test Cricket recently but they have maintained reasonable consistent level in One-day Cricket and I think they got capable players for 50 over match. However, according to me India has got very good chances as they know the conditions well. Also, they are playing good cricket for the past few months."
Sir Vivian Richards, part of world cup winning west indies team of 1975 & 1979 said, "India and Sri-Lanka are the top two teams entering the tournament and with a home base they have an added advantage to lift the cup. However, pressure will mount on the home teams as matches will be played in the sub-Continent."
