92.7 BIG FM launches Kolkata's most celebrated radio festival 'BIG Studio Unplugged'

92.7 BIG FM, India's leading radio network and winner of broadcaster of the year at Golden Mikes will host Kolkata's most celebrated radio festival "BIG Studio Unplugged". This primetime evening show will go on-air end April 2012 and will feature 15 of the biggest stars from the Bengali music industry like Anupom Roy, Somlata, Lopamudra, Joy Sarkar, Neel Dutta, Shilajit Anindya- Upol Surojit – Soumitra, Rupam Islam, Anjan Dutta, Rupankar and many more.

The singers will not only perform live on air some of their biggest hits but also enlighten listeners with never before heard trivia on what went into the making of their body of work. RJs Arpan and Mahua will be the hosts for all the 15 days when this festival is on-air. The impressive line-up of artists who feature will encompass a wide range of modern Bangla music; the "BIG Studio Unplugged" festival would feature singers from all major genres, including Folk, Rabindrasangeet, Band, Tollywood etc.

What makes this show really different is that listeners will get to hear a singer's rendition of an 'Unplugged' version where the focus of attention will be the singer alone, the accompanying instruments will be restricted to a minimum and the ones used will only be acoustic.
