Fifty years ago, the Indian military suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of China in the 1962 war. Now, the two Asian giants may have repaired their relationship, but the wounds of that war have not been forgotten. IBN7 brings you ‘1962: Ek Haqeeqat’, a special one-hour show that glorifies the heroism shown by the Indian jawans and young officers in that war. On the show, war veterans talk about how they were let down by their own generals and the political leadership, and how they had to live with the humiliation of defeat.
