CNN-IBN Presents Thums Up Being Human VEER Campaign

Disability is not inability. Guided by this thought, CNN-IBN, in partnership with Thums Up, Being Human, and American India Foundation (AIF), have come together for VEER, a special initiative that will highlight the struggles of people with disability (PwD) in India and raise funds to make them employable. The campaign also features a special series of episodes that will be telecast on CNN IBN. The second episode in the series throws light on the need for advocating disabled-friendly technology and workplaces. India needs to wake up to the creation of avenues that provide People with disability a chance at holistic growth and development with the right set of skills. The panellists participating in the discussion also stress on the need for providing skills and further training and development of People with Disabilities. There is an urgent need to open our minds and give People with disabilities a chance to lead a normal life. The illustrious panel included Ms. Sminu Jindal-Managing Director, Jindal Saw Ltd, Mr. Jatinder Malhotra- Architect, Genesis, Ms. Ruma Roka- Founder, Noida Deaf Society, and Mr. George Abraham – Founder Score Foundation, who have been leading conversations around People with Disability for a long time now.
