Alpana Mishra promoted as Leo Entertainment, Business Head

Her appointment comes after Sanjay Bhutiani, the former Leo Entertainment head, decided to move to Percept D Mark

Leo Burnett India has announced the promotion of Alpana Mishra as the Business Head of Leo Entertainment. Her appointment comes after Sanjay Bhutiani, the former Leo Entertainment head, decided to move to Percept D Mark.

Alpana graduated from the first batch of MICA and started her career in client servicing with Madison and later on moved to Lintas (now, Lowe), where she handled Procter & Gamble and HLL.

She joined Leo Burnett three years ago as an account director of Leo Entertainment, eager for a switch from mainline advertising. "After five years of servicing multinationals, I wanted to, very specifically, work in the area of my passion - movies and cricket. Leo Entertainment allowed me to marry both advertising experience and my lifelong hobby."

Added Arvind Sharma, CEO & chairman, Leo Burnett India: "During the last three years, Alpana has been Sanjay Bhutiani's very able deputy. She has grown and developed strong relationships with major players in Bollywood. She was the obvious choice as his successor. In her new role, she will be responsible for taking our business with films, film-makers and film-events to even greater heights."

Leo Entertainment, launched in February 2001, is involved with the Hindi film industry and provides marketing solutions to the entertainment world in India. Its services include marketing strategies, in-film placements, creative campaign, outdoor, print and online advertising, ground promotions and contests to film producers. The agency has worked with films like 'Jism', BR Chopra's 'Baghban' and Sanjay Gupta's 'Kaante' and leveraged brands like Coke, Thums Up, Maaza, Provogue, Castrol, Tata Tea and Blowplast.
