Jagran splits creative biz between Capital, Vishaka Communication

Vishaka Communication will work for Jagran's short code 7272 and Jagran's management school

Jagran Group has empaneled another agency to handle its creative duties. Vishaka Communication will now share the responsibilities with Capital advertising, which is entrusted with the creative duties for Jagran's print business.

Sources at Jagran Group say, “While Capital Advertising will continue to work on the corporate advertisements and the communication plan for the fraternity, Vishaka Communication will work for Jagran's short code 7272 and Jagran's management school.”

B Saha, managing director, Vishaka, says, “The Jagran management liked our strategic thinking and mint-fresh creatives, which covered the whole gamut of media vehicles.”

“Our job is to build the Jagran brand as it moves on newer areas and launches new editions,” she adds.

Vishaka Communication has recently worked on the launch campaign for Jagran's SMS service 7272. With an annual billing of Rs 10 crore, Vishaka Communication has accounts such as Luminous Inverters and Franklin Institute of Air Hostess Training.

Dainik Jagran is the largest read publication in India with 175 lakh readers. Recently, the group flagged off its television venture with the launch of a Hindi news channel, Channel 7. The group has also ventured into the education business with Jagran Institute of Management and Mass Communication.

For the record, Jagran's television brand is handled by Mudra and the entire media planning and buying for the Group is done by Madison Media. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
