Ex-O&M Parag Tembulkar to join Publicis USA

There are some Indian advertising professionals who are making it big internationally. Parag Tembulkar is one of them. Tembulkar is all set to join Publicis USA as vice-president and group creative director. Tembulkar will be based in Seattle and will report to Bob Moore, president and executive creative director, Publicis USA.

Tembulkar confirmed his new appointment to agencyfaqs! via e-mail from Singapore, where he is currently based. He says, “I will be working with the best talent in this industry and they are people who have proved themselves in their part of the world. It is a huge challenge for me to do well in this formidable group.”

Commenting on how this move will help his career, he says, “I am only following the path that I set for myself when I left India for Singapore: to work with the best people in the best places, to keep changing the playing field and to start afresh every now and then.”

Tembulkar has earlier worked with Ogilvy in Mumbai as associate creative director. He then moved to Euro RSCG, Singapore. He did a successful stint with bbh asia-pacific before moving to TBWA, Singapore.

He has worked on campaigns for Levi’s and Axe, which have been widely recognised. He has won awards and accolades at Cannes, D&AD, The One Show, Adfest Asia and Hong Kong Media, among others.

At Publicis USA, Tembulkar will handle accounts such as T-Mobile, Washington Lottery, Dish TV and Real Networks.
