O&M India scores at The London International Awards, 2005, with Fevicol

O&M India has done it again with Fevicol. The agency recently won the award for the ‘Best Poster Campaign’ in the ‘2005 Poster and Outdoor’ category at The London International Awards, 2005. Fevicol was the only Indian entrant that managed to win an award. Incidentally, Fevicol was also a finalist at Cannes this year.

Madhukar Parikh, managing director, Pidilite Industries, remarks, “Finally, a campaign that is essentially Indian in its outlook has been recognised by global experts. It reaffirms our belief in experimentation and things that are truly Indian. This is not the first time that the Fevicol brand has received recognition from an international forum, thereby clearly demonstrating that the communication is being understood and appreciated by a global audience.”

Fevicol is planning to expand to markets beyond India. For instance, it recently set up operations in Egypt.

Piyush Pandey, national creative director and executive chairman, India and South Asia, O&M, says, “Once again, Fevicol has kept the Indian flag flying high in the world

of advertising. This campaign was done by a very young team and we were all quite confident that it would surely shine at the international award shows.”

For the record, The London International Advertising Awards, established in 1985 is one of the international leaders in acknowledging creative excellence for advertising, design and interactive media. The categories include Below the Line/Collateral, Interactive Media, Package Design, Poster & Outdoor, Print, Radio and Television/Cinema.

New for 2005 is the Integrated Media category, acknowledging the wide range of tools now used to deliver effective advertising.

These awards have been actively involved internationally with student competitions and associations such as the IAA, the Toronto Art & Design Club and other worldwide organizations.
