Rediff’s Anita Daniel joins Contract, Chennai

Anita Daniel, account director, Citibank, Rediffusion DY&R, has joined Contract, Chennai, as director, client services. She will report to Bimal Nair, the agency’s senior vice-president and branch head.

Nair comments on the appointment, “Daniel has handled large businesses in the past, particularly one such as Citibank. From her past work, I can say that she is not only passionate about her work, she also treats a brand like it is her own baby.”

Daniel says that her move was greatly influenced by Contract’s new philosophy, ‘Grow Young’. She says, “My association with Contract happened rather suddenly. I got a call from Bimal Nair and he explained the Contract philosophy to me at length. ‘Grow Young’ is a refreshing and inspiring way to connect brands with consumers.”

“It is also a fact that most of the people at the agency here are young!” she quips. “Besides, Contract has clients across various sectors, including retail, healthcare, education and FMCG.

At Contract, Daniel will work on brands such as Lifecell, NIIT@School, GM Pens, TTK Healthcare and TTK Foods, energy drink Xtra and IT brand Adrenalin.

In her career, which spans a decade, Daniel has worked for Mudra, Cricinfo.com, Sify and Rediffusion DY&R, where she has been for the last four years. She has even done a brief stint at Wunderman, Rediff’s DM division. Her forte is retail and Internet advertising, in addition to DM and events. Her most memorable work has been for Citibank.
