Omnicom to acquire majority stake in Gotocustomer Services, India

Gotocustomer is a leading provider of field and retail marketing services to both national and multinational clients across India

Omnicom Group Inc., the global advertising and marketing services group, has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority ownership interest in Gotocustomer Services India, through its Diversified Agency Services (DAS) Group, India.  

For the record, Gotocustomer Services India is a provider of field and retail marketing services to both national and multinational clients across India. The company offers specialised services in the areas of field marketing, retail marketing and promotional events.

Michael Birkin, vice-chairman and chairman and CEO, Omnicom, Asia Pacific, comments, “Field marketing is a key business for Omnicom globally. This relationship will enable us to provide our national and international clients in India the same best-in-class field marketing services that we offer on a global basis. The acquisition of Gotocustomer will complement our earlier investments across the Asia-Pacific region, giving us unparalleled retail competency across the region.”

Some of the clients that use Gotocustomer’s services include companies in the fields of information technology, telecommunications and consumer packaged goods. Some of its key clients include Microsoft, Pepsi, Philips, Intel and Idea Cellular. The company has eight offices across India, with a direct presence in more than 30 cities. Its head office is located in New Delhi.
