Euro RSCG, MPG, bag Grand Hyatt

Industry sources say the size of the business is around Rs 3-4 crore

Following a multi-agency pitch, Euro RSCG has bagged the creative duties for Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, both hotel and plaza. MPG will take charge of the media duties. It is learnt that six agencies took part in the pitch process. According to industry sources, the ad spend is pegged in the region of Rs 3-4 crore. The account was being serviced earlier by Focus Communications.

Farzana Suri, vice-president, Euro RSCG, explains, “We’re aiming to add value to the client’s business with a vibrant, integrated communication rollout.”

Firuza Mistry, marketing communications manager, Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, says, “Euro presented us with a well thought through plan. The agency’s effort showed in its ideas and strategy. This was a refreshing change from the presentations we received from other agencies, which were largely about their credentials.”

The media mix will make heavy use of press and online advertising, followed by events, PR and below-the-line activities. Television may be a possibility, says Mistry.

For the record, the Hyatt Group comprises three main properties: the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, the Hyatt Regency (Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata) and the Park Hyatt Resort and Spa (Goa). Focus Communications continues to handle the Hyatt Regency in Delhi and Kolkata, while Mumbai is taken care of by Law & Kenneth. The Park Hyatt Resort and Spa, too, is with Law & Kenneth.
