Sood joined Rediffusion, Delhi, in 2003 as COO, regions, and was in charge of the Delhi operations. In mid-2006, he was designated chief strategy officer.

Over the past few months, Rediffusion DY&R, Delhi, has undergone quite a bit of restructuring. In August 2006, Ramesh Srivats, executive vice-president, South, was brought in as EV-P, Delhi, to head the agency’s Delhi operations. Kaushik Tiwari, V-P, Chennai, was put in charge of the agency’s Southern operations as V-P, South.

To add to this, Preet Bedi, president, Rediffusion DY&R, put in his papers in September 2006.

In October 2006, Mahesh Chauhan, president, Everest Brand Solutions, Rediff’s second agency, was asked to replace Bedi and take charge as president at Rediffusion.

Sood has spent around 20 years in advertising, out of which 16 years were spent in Lowe. He joined Lowe in 1985. In 1992, he quit to move to Saatchi & Saatchi and head the Delhi branch. In 1995, he was back at Lowe as general manager, Delhi branch.
