Contract Advertising has bagged the creative duties for the travel portal, Travelguru.com. The pitch for the business was held about a month and a half ago. The names of the other agencies that participated in the pitch could not be ascertained. Euro RSCG was the incumbent agency and the media duties continue to lie with MPG.

According to sources close to the development, the size of the business is estimated to be Rs 8-10 crore. When contacted, the executives at Travelguru were reluctant to comment on the deal, but they did reveal that they are looking at new options with respect to advertising and they might consider Contract Advertising as an agency.

The media mix for the business will consist of media such as television, outdoor, print, radio and other promotional activities.

Travelguru's current product offering consists of airline tickets, hotel rooms, vacation packages and cruises. It will expand its travel related services to a broader spectrum and offer car rentals as well.
