Special unit, DDB Mudra, for Johnson & Johnson

As J&J is a network client for DDB, the new unit will work closely with the other DDB offices globally. In India, this unit will be headed by Bhairavi Naik, who moves here from Everest Brand Solutions

The Mudra Group has formed a dedicated unit to service its Johnson & Johnson business in India. The new unit, DDB Mudra, will be headed by Bhairavi Naik as group business director. Naik moves here from Everest Brand Solutions, where she was account director.

DDB Mudra will work on the two Johnson & Johnson skincare brands, Neutrogena and Clean & Clear. As J&J is a client of DDB globally, the new unit will work closely with the other DDB offices globally (particularly those in New York and the Asia Pacific region) in order to bring synergies into the business.

When asked about the purpose of creating a separate outfit, Madhukar Kamath, managing director and CEO, Mudra Group, tells agencyfaqs!, “As J&J is a network client for DDB, there is some global learning that needs to be harnessed. A dedicated unit within the Mudra Group will ensure that this is done in an effective way.”

As of now, DDB Mudra has around 10 people forming its core team, but seven-eight account/brand planners will be roped in soon. While the business aspect will be taken care of by Naik, the creative function will be spearheaded by Mudra’s creative director, Amee Sanghvi.

Before Everest, Naik worked with Bates (now Bates David Enterprise), Leo Burnett, Grey Worldwide and Law & Kenneth (the erstwhile St Luke’s). She has spent around nine years in all in the ad industry.
