Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd’s Times Innovative Media has bagged the three-year contract for the advertisement rights at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airpor

Times Innovative Media Pvt. Ltd (TIMPL), the wholly owned subsidiary of Entertainment Network India Ltd, part of Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd, has bagged the contract for the advertising rights at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The contract is valid for three years and covers more than 300 static advertising sites, plasma and LCD screens, and baggage trolleys.

Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd (MIAL) had expressed its interest in awarding the contract to a suitable agency in October 2006. Seven agencies responded to its call, four were short-listed, among them Lakshya Media, JC Decaux, Clear Channel and TIMPL.

Under the deal, TIMPL will design, develop and maintain all the ad locations inside the airport terminals as well as outside. MIAL hopes to generate revenue of Rs 238.5 crore from the deal.

TIMPL was preferred over the others because of its knowledge of innovative forms of advertising and international design philosophy.

GV Sanjay Reddy, managing director, MIAL, says, “We are sure TIMPL will be able to leverage this opportunity for the benefit of both advertisers and consumers, with a standard that is internationally acclaimed.”
