The new variant of Splendor will be the third under the sub-brand for Hero Honda. Achiever, however, will be given a new look
Hero Honda, one of India's largest motorcycle manufacturers, has decided on the creative agencies for two of its bikes. The two include the new variant of Splendor, and the refurbished Achiever, which was also up for a pitch some time back.
agencyfaqs! had reported earlier that Hero Honda was reviewing its roster agencies for Splendor’s new variant, which will be the third in the series after Splendor Plus and Super Splendor, and it will be have a heavier engine as compared to Splendor Plus's 100 cc, and Super Splendor's 125 cc. But it had also kept the floor open for other agencies, following which Law & Kenneth and Equus Red Cell pitched in for this business.
But ultimately after a series of presentations, JWT finally bagged the creative duties for this new variant, which also handles the other two Splendor sub brands – Splendor Plus and Super Splendor.
It is learnt that Hero Honda plans to spend around Rs 15 crore on Splendor’s new variant, and the product will hit the market in July, and so the campaign.
But plans are still not finalised on the Achiever front, and so, neither its date of launch, nor its estimated spends could be ascertained. But it’s likely that this brand will focus on the Eastern India market, which has been its strength traditionally.
