Rediffusion’s Preeti Verma among Clio Future Gold finalists

There are in all 12 young finalists from across the world for the 2007 Future Gold Young Creatives Program at the Clio Awards. The 12 finalists will be paired off and asked to counter a creative brief within 24 hours

Preeti Verma, junior art director, Rediffusion DYR, Mumbai, has found a place among the 12 young finalists from across the world for the 2007 Future Gold Young Creatives Program at the Clio Awards.

The contestants were supposed to send in six print ads created by them to the Clio Awards. These ads were scrutinised by the jury and the most promising candidates were short-listed as finalists. The 12 finalists will be paired in paired off, with an art director and a copy writer in each team. The copywriter from the Asia Pacific region who will be Verma’s partner is Andrew McKechnie, junior copywriter, JWT, Singapore.

The Future Gold Program is in its fourth year now. The 12 finalists will attend the annual international Clio Festival, held May 9-12, in Miami Beach, Florida. While there, they will be asked to counter a creative brief within 24 hours.

After this, the jury members will scrutinise the work and select three teams to present their ideas to a representative of the Future Gold Program before an audience of Clio Festival delegates. The final winners of the Future Gold contest will be announced at the Clio Awards ceremony on Friday, May 11.

The Future Gold Young Creatives Program is coordinated by the Clio Awards in collaboration with Ignacio Oreamuno, director of ihavanidea. Future Gold is sponsored this year by Adobe Systems, Getty Images will act as image provider and Apple is a technology sponsor.
