Anandaroop Ghosh joins Rediffusion DY&R, Kolkata, as CD

Anandaroop Ghosh has more than 10 years of experience in the field of advertising. His last stint was with McCann Erickson, Bangalore

Anandaroop Ghosh (popularly known as Andy) has joined Rediffusion DY&R, Kolkata, as creative director. He comes from McCann Erickson, Bangalore, where, too, he was working as creative director.

Andy holds a Master’s degree from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, JNU, New Delhi, and has more than 10 years of experience in the field of advertising. He started his career in New Delhi with Lowe (then Amirati Puris Lintas) and later moved to JWT. Then he joined McCann Erickson in the same city and worked there for close to five years. After that, he shifted to JWT, Kathmandu. Then he came back to India and joined McCann Erickson in Bangalore.

Some of the brands that Ghosh has worked on during his career include Gillette, Perfetti, Britannia, Coke, Pepsi, Nestle, ITC Foods, Bacardi, General Motors, Goodyear, Mastercard and Unilever Nepal.

Commenting on the appointment, Amitava Sinha, executive vice-president, Rediffusion DY&R, Kolkata, says, “At Kolkata, we have an interesting mix of national clients, including Eveready, Tata Steel, Spencer’s, Dey’s Medical, Peerless, Emami and local advertisers such as Bengal Shrachi, Airtel East and Metro Dairy. Andy comes with vast experience across a variety of brands. His joining will add an edge to the creative product, giving further impetus to the growth of the agency in the Kolkata region.”

Ghosh says, “Rediffusion DY&R, Kolkata, has a rich portfolio of national and local accounts along with a talented and enthusiastic team. My mandate will be to help a talented young team, which has already been producing some great work, to go out and get new business and consolidate the existing ones.”
