Rediffusion brings in two CDs from O&M

Daniel Upputuru and Abhinav Pratiman began their careers in advertising in 1999, and now moved together from O&M

Rediffusion is sprucing up its team, and this time it has pulled in Daniel Upputuru and Abhinav Pratiman from O&M, Delhi. Upputuru and Pratiman move in as creative directors. Prior to this, Upputuru had held the position of associate creative director, while Pratiman was creative group head at O&M.

Upputuru started his career in Rediffusion as trainee visualiser in 1999. In the same year, he moved to Contract as junior visualiser.

In 2002, when he stepped out of Contract, he was working as an art director. His next move was to Bates David Enterprise (then Enterprise Nexus), where his stint lasted for only a few months. Following this, he moved to Ogilvy in 2002 as senior art director, and had been there since then. At O&M, he has been part of the team which launched and relaunched Hindustan Times in Mumbai and Delhi, respectively.

Besides a few nominations and Bronze pencils at One Show, Upputuru has also won a gold at Cannes. In his career span, he has worked on brands such as NIIT, Microsoft, Real Juices, Modi Goup, ABN Amro, Red FM, Dabur Amla, a portfolio of Seagrams -Blenders Pride, Fling, Stolichnaya, Nine Hills (wine), Royal Stag, Ballantines and Oral-B.

Upputuru says, “O&M has been a fantastic place and I believe will continue to be one. As far as the decision of joining Rediff goes, it’s because there are other like-minded, young, talented people who are joining Rediff at the moment.”

Pratiman, on the other hand, began his career in advertising in 1999 with TBWA India (then TBWA Anthem). He stayed there till 2005 before moving to O&M, as creative group head. Pratiman also had nominations at the Cannes and has won a silver at Young Guns.

Pratiman has worked on brands such as Fanta, Hutch, Oral-B, Shipra Malls, and Seagrams' brands.
