It has bagged the IMC (integrated marketing consultancy) business for Sony Ericsson
London based independent global marketing agency ‘iris’ has set up shop in India. To begin with, it has bagged the IMC (integrated marketing consultancy) business for Sony Ericsson. The development has been confirmed by Luke D’Arcy, group marketing director, iris.
The move will see the agency concentrate on increasing Sony Ericsson’s integrated retail, promotional and event marketing initiatives.
Across Europe, Asia, and North America, the agency works for clients such as Sony Ericsson, Adidas, Shell and Coca-Cola. In India, the agency recently worked on ‘Spiderman 3’ and the activation of the unique collaboration between Robbie Williams and Asha Bhosle.
Currently, iris is looking at setting up a team in India and will soon announce the names of the core leadership team here. In its eight years of existence, the agency has quickly gained an international reputation across technology, youth, retail and sports marketing. It is rumoured to have already made a number of high profile key appointments from the India agency scene as it seeks to establish itself quickly in the marketplace.
iris, an independent integrated marketing agency, works across all media and all disciplines. It was established in 1999 by Ian Millner and Stewart Shanley. The agency has shown considerable development in the last seven years, employing more than 300 people and growing by at least 50 per cent year on year every year.
Following its success in establishing its London operation, iris is now in the advanced stages of establishing itself as an independent global micro network. This has been achieved through a four year long organic diversification process by both geography and by discipline. iris now has regional hubs of strategic and creative excellence in New York, London and Singapore, as well as specialist branded offerings in the experiential, PR, direct, digital and analytics spaces.
