Lowe Lintas has made a few changes in its structure. Amer Jaleel, executive director and Arun Iyer, executive creative director will now jointly lead the national creative function as co-NCDs. R Balakrishnan (Balki), chairperson, Lowe Lintas, confirms the news.

Madhu Noorani, an old hand at the agency, will take on the role of chief creative planner, a new role that has been created for the purpose. Noorani will continue with her creative responsibilities on Johnson & Johnson and other key regional brands of Unilever. It is also learnt that Jaleel, Iyer and Noorani will report to Balki.

The changes were brought about as, according to Balki, "It is always healthy to plan for the future and in Amer and Arun are two bright and hungry people." Balki adds that the best in creative energies must lead the agency.

Along with these changes in the Mumbai office, Deepa Geethakrishnan, who handled the creative output of the Bengaluru office, will move to Mumbai. She will handle a regional role on certain Unilever businesses, though her exact role is yet to be chalked out. Rajesh Ramaswamy and Abhijit Ghosh will in turn head the creative for the Bengaluru branch of Lowe Lintas.

Ashvin Varkey, creative director has been promoted to the role of group creative director and the roster of agencies that he handles will be expanded.

This, however, is only the first set of changes within the structure at Lowe Lintas. It has been learnt from highly placed sources that in a second phase of restructuring at the advertising agency, Joseph George, who is currently executive director and an old hand too, will take on a larger role.

Informed sources also reveal that in the Delhi office, Mohit Beotra is on his way out and likely to be replaced by Naveen Gaur, ex-McCann Erickson, who will mark his return to advertising with this move.
