Percept/H's Sartaj Jaffri takes on new role at Saints & Warriors

Jaffri will head Saints & Warriors, Mumbai. Earlier, he was vice-president, client servicing, at Percept/H.

After having played a pivotal role in key accounts such as Pantaloons, SBI Mutual Fund, Force Motors, Sahara India TV Network, Aamby Valley, Nahar, and Yardley at Percept/H, Sartaj Jaffri has finally begun a new innings in his advertising career as senior vice-president and branch head, Mumbai, at Saints & Warriors.

Jaffri will be responsible for the internal functioning, as well as getting new businesses for the Mumbai branch. While speaking to afaqs!, he says, "Building long-term relations with clients will be my primary objective at Saints & Warriors." Jaffri adds that he will also be focussing on building a strong team and robust brands for clients. "I wish to continue the 'Amul Macho' tradition of creating a strong identity for a brand," he says.

Jaffri has an extensive experience of over 20 years. After finishing his MBA in Marketing in 1990, he moved from supporting his family business in retail pharmacy, to an integrated marketing communication environment at McCann Erickson.

After working at McCann Erickson for a period of six years, and adding brands like Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and Timebank to his profile, he moved on to become an account director at R K Swamy BBDO. There, he successfully managed accounts like Raymonds, LIC, and Zuari-Chambal Group, during his four-year tenure. His stint with Percept/H, for a period of six years, has seen him handle key accounts.

Saints & Warriors, Mumbai, has never had a branch head, prior to Jaffri's appointment. Pushpinder Singh, founder, Saints & Warriors, tells afaqs! that he is looking forward to Jaffri take on the role of mentor for the Mumbai branch.
