Vikram Sakhuja to chair EFFIES 2016

The Advertising Club today (October 3, 2016) announced the appointment of Vikram Sakhuja, Group chief executive officer, Madison World, as president of the EFFIES 2016. It has also nominated Mitrajit Bhattacharya, president and publisher, Chitralekha Group, as co-chair of EFFIES 2016. The EFFIES Awards recognise excellence in marketing communications and encourage thoughtful dialogue about the drivers of marketing effectiveness.

Raj Nayak, president, The Advertising Club, says in a media statement, "(Vikram) Sakhuja has been an essential part of EFFIES 2015 and was instrumental in ensuring the success of the Awards last year. I am delighted that he will be at the helm of the prestigious Awards this year, too. I am confident that under his leadership, the awards will gain further in repute, stature, and scale."

Speaking about his new role as President EFFIES 2016, Sakhuja says, "It is a privilege to be chairing the EFFIES. This year, the EFFIES will be held in December, a little earlier than last year, to ensure that Christmas and New Year is not spent working on entries. We look forward to once again welcome great work from all quarters."
