rmg clarifies position on Inox account

rmg david has clarified its position on the Inox account following Lemon contesting the agency’s claim over Inox’s upcoming project in Mumbai

On Thursday last, this website had reported the news of WPP Group-agency rmg david picking up four new advertising businesses. Of the four wins reported, one happened to be that of multiplex chain Inox's upcoming project in Mumbai.

Yesterday morning, agencyfaqs! received a call from Lemon - which handles Inox's existing projects - contesting rmg's claim over the Mumbai project. Ravi Deshpande, head of Lemon, informed us that Lemon had been appointed to work on Inox's Mumbai project. He then referred us to the client to crosscheck the veracity of his agency's claim. A call to a senior executive at Inox was placed. The executive informed agencyfaqs! that Lemon had, indeed, been entrusted with the company's Mumbai project, and that rmg's claim was "factually incorrect".

In light of the official statements made by Lemon and Inox, agencyfaqs! got in touch with rmg david, seeking a clarification on the agency's stand. rmg got back to us with the following clarification: "We have not been technically signed on, and we are still in conversation with the client." While there's certainly more to it than meets the eye, we'll let the matter rest. For now. © 2003 agencyfaqs!
