The contest objective is to know how consumers perceive the brand, and to highlight the creativity that lies within them. Working professionals like designers, illustrators, artists, and students from various design schools and colleges are eligible to participate in the contest.

Talenthouse India, in order to encourage students to participate, has tied up with more than 150 design schools and colleges such as Picasso Animation College, Arena Animation, ZICA Animation Institute, Raffles Design Institute, and FX School of Photography.

Arun Mehra, chief executive officer, Talenthouse India says, "As part of the promotion, posters and mailers have been used to inform students. Moreover, representatives from Talenthouse India contact the placement cell and offer presentations at the college campus."

Pratik Seal, country head, marketing, Micromax India, says, "The changing preferences of customers require upgradation of not only the technology, but everything that represents the brand. Micromax has always worked in close association with its customers, and it was natural to invite our customers through a contest to co-create with us."

The contest has been promoted by Talenthouse India mainly through the online medium using blogs, mailers, and social media. Participants can send their entries online.

"The contest is a great opportunity to connect with the consumers and moreover the entries that come in from artists all across the country will give us more interesting design options rather than have just one agency working on the logo designs," adds Seal.

The winner of the contest will be awarded an Apple Mac book pro and an acknowledgment of the Logo creation on the corporate website of Micromax. The contest started on November 8, 2011, and the deadline for the submission of entries is February 6, 2012.The winner will be announced on February 28, 2012.
