Lodestar wins naukri.com; also adds Oberoi Hotels to its kitty

The size of the businesses put together amount to Rs 10-12 crore

Lodestar is shinning bright in the autumn sky. Just a few days ago, the media agency had won the estimated Rs 10-12 crore business of Tata Retail Enterprises (Trent), a Tata Group company. And, now the Delhi office has bagged two more businesses - naukri.com and Oberoi Hotels. The size of the businesses put together amount to Rs 10-12 crore, again.

While the Oberoi Hotels account has moved from Initiative Media, naukri.com has moved from MindShare.

Unlike the Tata business, both naukri and Oberoi Hotels came the agency's way as a result of a straight pitch.

Explaining what worked in Lodestar's favour, Shuchi Agarwal, media controller, Lodestar Delhi, says, "They were won on the basis of our inputs to the clients…on the basis of our past work on other clients and credentials."

Outlining the task at hand with regard to both the businesses, Agarwal says, "Building business is the core criteria for gauging the success of the communication efforts for both businesses. Each of the businesses has its peculiar exigencies, which remain confidential at the moment. All we can say at the moment is that the solutions offered by us to the problems faced will be unique and exciting!"

Innovation is going to play a crucial role, if the media plan has to work successfully. "Innovations are important for all business in the age of high media clutter and fragmentation. Innovations, therefore, for each of these businesses will be as per the requirements of the businesses," concludes Agarwal.
