SET’s Anupama Mandloi puts in her papers

She spent around nine-and-a-half years at SET in various roles; was instrumental in setting up of SAB TV which was acquired by SET last year

Anupama Mandloi, senior V-P and head, on-air programming, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) India, has quit. She ends her career with SET tomorrow.

Sandiip Sikcand, chief creative dirtector, SET India will replace her as of now. Sikcand was earlier with Balaji Telefilms. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether Sikcand will replace her permanently.

Having spent nine-and-a-half years at SET, Mandloi describes it as her surrogate family. Leaving the network is equivalent to the breaking off of the proverbial umbilical cord for her.

While dubbing her career at SET as enjoyable and enriching, she said the reason for quitting was the need for a break.

During her stint at SET, she dabbled with a variety of roles ranging from on-air programming director, on-air programming head and creative director to her last role as senior V-P head, on-air programming.

She played a pivotal role in SAB TV, which was taken over by SET from Adhikari Brothers last year.

Her earlier associations were with Plus Channel and with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt for various projects.
