Rajiv Tyagi of ‘India Today’ joins MCCS as AV-P, Special Projects

Tyagi has about 20 years of experience

Media Content and Communication Services (MCCS) has appointed Rajiv Tyagi assistant vice-president, Special Projects. He was earlier with the India Today Group.

Special Projects is a newly established division of MCCS. The Special Projects team will be entrusted with the task of successful creation, funding and execution of revenue generating properties. This will be aimed at enhancing MCCS’ existing brands.

In addition, Barun Das, V-P, MCCS, says that it will undertake special initiatives to address specific challenges or issues and help enhance the performance of its brands.

At the India Today Group, Tyagi was responsible for key accounts management, sponsorship revenue and the promotion of international publications. It is also learnt that Tyagi is a seasoned media sales veteran with a long career spanning two decades.

He started his career with ‘Ananda Bazaar Patrika’ and then moved to Grolier International. He then joined the India Today Group.

For the record, MCCS is 74:26 joint venture between Ananda Bazaar Patrika TV (ABP TV) and STAR News Broadcasting (a subsidiary of the STAR Group) incorporated in September 2003 for broadcasting STAR News and STAR Ananda.
