Optimum Media Solutions (OMS), Delhi, has won the media business for Yatra.com, a recently launched travel portal. The business was won in a multi-agency pitch and the scope of work includes media planning, buying and implementation. The size of the business, according to industry estimates, is Rs 5-6 crore.
Yatra.com is a newcomer in the Indian travel portal space. It will soon unveil its new logo as part of an attempt to build itself a brand. Besides the logo, it has started beaming electronic communication on television and radio.

Chandradeep Mitra, president, OMS, says, "The brief for us was to come up with a low-cost and effective solution for the launch of this online portal. We made a complete strategic presentation to create it a 'top of mind' image."
OMS will handle all the mass media work for Yatra.com, including the use of print, radio and television. The campaign will leverage television the most, including general entertainment and sports channels. The aim is to reach out to people who book tickets online.
