GEC Watch: STAR Plus gains; Colors, Zee decline

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma on SAB is yet again in the Top 10 list in Week 33

No major surprises in Week 33. STAR Plus sticks to the No. 1 position with a relative market share of 25 per cent (C&S, 4+, HSM). The channel has recorded 340 GRPs in Week 33. Colors is at No. 2, garnering a share of 20 per cent. The gap between STAR Plus and Colors has increased from 32 in Week 32 to 57 in the latest week.

Zee, which is at No. 3, has witnessed a decline in share from 18 per cent to 17 per cent in Week 33. Only two of its shows are in the Top10 list. The channel has garnered 231 GRPs.

Sony's share has increased to 14 per cent. It has recorded 192 GRPs in the latest week. SAB has maintained its 8 per cent share and its show, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, continues to be in the Top 10 list this week as well with a TVR of 4.5.

Imagine and STAR One have garnered relative shares of 6 per cent and 4 per cent respectively. DD1, STAR Utsav and Sahara One have garnered 2 per cent share each.

Uttaran is the most watched show on Hindi GECs, garnering a TVR of 6.1, followed by Pavitra Rishta, which has garnered a TVR of 5.9. Balika Vadhu is the third most watched property, garnering a TVR of 5.8. Two of STAR Plus' shows - Pratigya and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai - are at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively, garnering TVRs of 5.3 and 5.2.

The other shows in the Top 10 list are Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Jhansi Ki Rani, Tere Liye and Bidayi.
