Cheil Communications appoints Vineet Singh Hukmani COO

Hukmani has been the national planning head of the agency for the last one year

Vineet Singh Hukmani has been appointed COO of Cheil Communications. Prior to this, Hukmani was the agency’s national planning head. He will report to Ben Heo, managing director of Cheil Communications India.

Confirming this development to agencyfaqs!, Heo says, “Hukmani, who has been with Cheil Communications for a year now, has brought strategic thinking and insight into the agency’s system. He has played a crucial role in bringing substance to both the Samsung and Hyundai accounts.”

Heo adds, “Hukmani being appointed COO is Cheil’s way of saying that we are very serious about integrating our full service offering and adding tremendous value to the Samsung business.”

Hukmani was earlier vice-president and business unit head with Mudra Communications, Delhi. Prior to that, he was vice-president and head of Saatchi & Saatchi, Bangalore. Hukmani started his advertising career at Grey Worldwide.

Among the prominent brands that he has handled in the advertising space is the Samsung portfolio – TVs, home appliances, mobile phones, IT products, et al. He has also worked on other key brands such as Hyundai Accent, Santro, Sonata and Tucson, TVS Victor and Fiero, Yamaha Libero and Crux, Reliance Infocomm and Energy, IFB Home Appliances and Tata Tea.

Speaking of his new assignment, Hukmani says, “Heo has ensured over the years that Cheil is a vibrant place and that our ‘in-house high service DNA’ helps us meet all our challenges.”

“After a good year in which Samsung saw 30 per cent growth, we have to ensure that the momentum of the Samsung business growth is kept up and we will surely grow then, too. The confidence we have got from handling the six Hyundai brands will help us in our business development efforts this year,” he adds.
