Coca-Cola's Ajay Naqvi moves on
Ajay Naqvi, general manager, creative and content excellence, India and South West Asia, Coca-Cola, has quit. Reliable sources have confirmed the news to afaqs!

At Coca-Cola, Naqvi was responsible for the company's communication strategy, in partnership with its lead agencies. The role included delivering creative ideas, curating content and overseeing design across a range of brands including sparkling drinks, stills and juices. The brands include Coca-Cola (classic and diet), Thums Up, Sprite, Fanta, Limca, Minute Maid, Maaza and Kinley.

Naqvi spent the last three years at Coca-Cola, prior to which he was with DDB Mudra (as EVP, north and east and head, Kolkata and Delhi offices) for a year. Before Mudra, Naqvi worked at Rediffusion-Y&R (business head, Airtel mobile) for around a year, prior to which he was strategic partner at Shark Design Studio, a communications firm, for over two years.

The other agencies he has worked with in the past include Bates Asia (Singapore and Indonesia offices), O&M, Leo Burnett, Goldmine Advertising and Wizcraft Entertainment Agency. Naqvi's next move is not known. According to the grapevine, he might take up a role that takes him overseas.
