Hindustan Times launches in Pune

The launch will be supported with print, outdoor, digital and on-ground campaigns.

The English daily, Hindustan Times, has launched its Pune edition. The edition will offer readers 50+ pages of national, state and local affairs, entertainment and lifestyle, and specials. The weekend edition of HT Pune will offer HT Brunch - a magazine on every Sunday; Mint Lounge - the weekend edition of Mint that focuses on the arts, food, culture, fashion, sports, music, and the like, every Saturday and HT Café - an entertainment and lifestyle supplement.

Bobby Ghosh, editor-in-chief, Hindustan Times, says in a press release, "We are bringing a lot of history in this youthful city; rich and credible journalism and along with it, our commitment and passion to bring to you the best newspaper that the city has ever seen."

Rajeev Beotra, chief executive officer, HT English, says in a press release, "Our goal is to bring to you a paper that is community-centric, that captures the ideas, ideals and aspirations of Pune. A newspaper that serves as your chronicler and companion and a genuine member of the community. A newspaper that the entire neighbourhood tunes into for solutions for the common good."

Rajan Bhalla, group chief marketing officer, Hindustan Times, says in a press release, "The weather in Pune is just about to heat up. Through Hindustan Times, we will give you everything you need to understand your neighbourhood, your city, your state and your world better. We are looking forward to waking Pune up, daily, with innovative content and a passion that will be an industry-first."

With diverse coverage of different topics, HT-Pune will be focusing on Punekars who wish to enhance their knowledge base and be involved with the real issues of the city and the country.

Currently, Hindustan Times has six editions including Mumbai, Delhi, Patna, Lucknow, Chandigarh and the newly launched Pune edition.
