Wavemaker wins traditional media duties for Mondelez

In a recent development, Mondelez has awarded its traditional media duties worth Rs 450 crore to GroupM's media agency Wavemaker, confirm industry sources. The agency will start servicing the account only from the year 2019 post the documentation process and once the tenure of Carat Media, the incumbent agency ends.

While the pitch was called for traditional and digital business, the decision on the digital mandate will be announced soon.

The account has been handled by Dentsu Aegis Network's Carat Media from the year 2015.

Mondelez India Foods (formerly Cadbury India) operates in categories such as chocolate, beverages, biscuits, and gum and candy. Cadbury Dairy Milk, CDM Silk, Celebrations, Bournville, 5Star, 5Star 3D, Perk, Gems, Glow and Toblerone are brands available in India under the chocolate category. The beverage portfolio consists of Bournvita and Tang. Oreo is a part of its biscuit portfolio, while Halls and Choclairs form part of the gum and candy category.
