Excerpts:

Out of the four which one would you choose for a vacation - Hills or Beaches or City life or something else?

I would choose a spiritual experience above all else. This could be in the hills, at a beach or in a relaxing, quaint city.

What has been your most unique experience while on a business trip?

Some years back, I had travelled to London. On the way back, I reached the airport to discover that British Airways had gone on strike! This came as quite a shock as the staff did not inform me despite having checked-in at the Heathrow Express Counter in Paddington Station. Therefore, it turned out to be quite an adventure getting an available flight back to Delhi!

What would be the top three places on your travel bucket list and the top three on your professional list?

The Great Barrier Reef in Australia, The Grand Canyon in the USA, and the Northern Lights in Iceland are at the top of my personal bucket list. From a professional standpoint: Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai; Madison Avenue in New York City; and the Google headquarters in Mountainview, California top my list.

What is your favourite travel story from a personal trip?

It would have to be the time I got stuck in a storm when on holiday in South India. Given we were on holiday, we were oblivious to the news and landed in a devastated Ooty, with landslides, fallen trees and no electricity! And our hosts were also stuck out of town due to the storm. Fortunately, we survived on the remnant Parle G biscuits we had in our bags for nearly 24 hours, despite my son only being six years old at the time.

Travel stimulates the mind. What stimulates you in your workplace?

The ever-changing media landscape and evolving consumer behaviours.

How often do you travel? Are you impulsive when it comes to travel plans?

At least twice a year for personal holidays; work trips as and when required.

Share us your travel mantra which can also be a work mantra.

Expect the unexpected every single day!
