COLORS’ latest offering explores the folklores of Vishkanyas and the battle of good vs. evil

Vish Ya Amrit: Sitaara, is a story of Sitaara, a vishkanya – female agents of an empire who were mesmerizing in their beauty and equally lethal with their job. These vishkanyas were trained to be immune to venom yet be able to inject it into their victim’s body; thereby proving to be deadly assassins and toppling empires. The protagonist, Sitaara, is one such vishkanya, albeit ignorant of her true identity. Abandoned by her mother during childhood, she was raised by her father, Kuldip Shekavat, in the kingdom of King Shivadaan Singh.

The viewers will love to see this tussle between sin and virtue and see her choose the path of righteousness going against the wishes of her mother.”

She is an honest rendition of a woman with good upbringing. We’re sure that the audience will enjoy this journey.”

The show will explore the journey of Sitaara as she becomes aware of her true identity and is forced to choose between good and bad at every turn. A woman of integrity and convictions, she will not hesitate to stand up against people who might have cared for her, if her values are challenged. The question that arises is whether she will be a femme-fatale or a savior of her province.
